This was the first pow-wow we have been to, although we have studied the Native American culture a lot and gone to museums. Jasmine has always been drawn to this culture. Me too! This was a new experience and it was interesting the feeling of moroseness that emanated from the pow-wow area, and could be seen and felt from the people. The Natives have a sad past and I feel even with their modern generations, it is hard to acclimate to a culture so unlike their traditional one.
